internationally. New spa locations have
recently opened in Dublin, Ireland;
Kent, U.K.; and Cairo,
Egypt. We have spa locations under
construction as far away as
Johannesbourg, South
Africa, as well as Riyadh and Jeddah,
Saudi Arabia.
Tonight you will witness
the world’s largest spokesmodel
competition. This pageant
is one of the most
effective and successful marketing
methods we use to promote our
brand. On a national
level, it has served as an extension of
Planet Beach’s distinct
marketing strategy and
we have experienced record-breaking
national brand
awareness since its
inception. Planet Beach has determined
that the entertainment
and promotions route is
the most logical brand-building
investment for the company.
Now in its 7
year,
the Ms. Planet Beach International
competition has developed into
a world class pageant
system. Our goal is to grow the pageant
into a self-funding
promotional vehicle for
our franchise locations. As the pageant
continues to gain
popularity, we will
attract major sponsorships. In 2010, we
intend to host the Ms.
Planet Beach
International World Finals in New
Orleans, LA. With this exciting change,
we will begin to benefit
from the Louisiana Film Tax Credit
program for the television
show. This tax incentive
will send major rebate dollars back into
our National
Marketing Fund. The
future of this spokesmodel search looks
bright indeed
for Planet Beach!
Last year, Planet Beach
produced the first ever, one-hour made
for television show
based on the Ms. Planet
Beach Competition. The television
premiere was successfully
syndicated throughout
2009 and aired in markets that represent
over 64% of US
households.
Additionally, in 2009-2010 the show will
air across Canada through
Sun TV and Men TV. These
two stations air on cable networks
throughout all English
speaking provinces.
Locally and regionally,
our franchisees and pageant promoters
have staged 68 United
States preliminary
events, 33 in Canada and an additional 9
events outside of North
America. These
promotions were held at exciting venues
and helped spread our
contempo spa message to
thousands of people around the globe.
This evening over 70
beautiful and well-spoken ladies will
compete for the title of
Ms. Planet Beach
International. The 2010 winner will
continue to embody the edgy,
entrepreneurial spirit
of our brand. She will be the fresh face
of our company and the
voice of the franchise
for 2010.
